Situated on Spain’s southern coast, the ancient fishing village of Baelo Claudia is home to the most well-preserved Roman ruins on the Iberian Peninsula. Baelo was built over two thousand years ago, but Romans abandoned in the sixth century after pirates and earthquakes rendered it inhospitable.
